With years of experience working with horses, I come to understand that these magnificent animals don't just respond to our actions-they mirror our inner world. Through trial, error, and a deep journey of self-discovery, I realized that the horses reflected my thought, emotions, and insecurities, which led me to a greater understanding of my authentic self.
Now, I am dedicated to helping others tap into this transformative process. Through this program, you will learn how horses can reflect your own inner thoughts and energies, guiding you on a path toward greater authenticity, emotional awareness, and personal growth. The horse, as a true mirror, holds up a reflection that reveals not only where we are but also where we have the potential to be. Through this unique experience, you'll not only deepen your connection with the horse but also uncover your true self.
Working with horses offers profound benefits to humans, both emotionally and physically. Horses are highly intuitive animals that mirror human emotions, making them excellent partners for personal growth and self-discovery. Interacting with horses can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by promoting mindfulness and emotional regulation. Their nonjudgmental presence helps individuals develop confidence, build trust, and improve communication skills. Beyond emotional well-being, working with horses also has physical benefits. Activities such as grooming, groundwork, and riding improves balance, coordination, and core strength. Caring for a horse fosters responsibility, patience, and empathy, qualities that translate into everyday life. Whether for personal development or recreation, the human-horse connection is a powerful and transformative experience.
Horses have a unique ability to mirror human emotions, offering a profound opportunity for self-discovery and growth. Their sensitivity to nonverbal cues and energy allows them to reflect our inner state, helping us become more aware of our emotions, patterns, and behaviors. Their grounding energy fosters mindfulness, emotional regulation, and a sense of calm, making them powerful partners in personal transformation. By working with horses, we can uncover deeper truths about ourselves, build resilience, and step into a more authentic way of being.
When I ask someone to describe their horse's personality, they're actually describing themselves. They might say their horse is stubborn, anxious, gentle, or playful—unaware that the qualities they see in the horse are a reflection of their own energy. Horses are mirrors responding to what's beneath the surface, showing us parts of ourselves we may not even recognize. This reflection is an invitation to deeper self-awareness, a chance to see ourselves with honesty, compassion, and a new sense of understanding.
When a person is struggling with their horse—whether it's trust issues, resistance, or miscommunication—it's often a reflection of something within themselves. The moment they start working on their own inner self, embracing authenticity, clarity, and emotional balance, the horse begins to change. As the person becomes more present, grounded, and true to themselves, the horse responds with trust, softness, and connection, showing us the power of alignment between our inner world and the relationships we build.
When working with a horse, I teach the power of vision and thought. Vision is pure energy—clear, direct, and connected to our authentic self. It is the unspoken intention that horses naturally understand and follow. Thought, on the other hand, is interrupted energy, clouded by doubts, insecurities, and over-analysis. When we rely on thoughts rather than vision, our energy becomes scattered, and the horse feels that disconnect. When we quiet the noise of insecurity and step into our true, authentic selves, our energy flows naturally, and the horse aligns with us in harmony.
Level One: Groundwork & Authentic Communication
The foundation of this journey begins on the ground, where true communication is developed. Through line work and eventually liberty, you'll learn to understand the horse's responses as a reflection of your own energy and emotions. This stage is about finding your authentic self, building trust, and creating a connection based on presence rather than control.
Level Two: Lead Line & Introduction to Bareback Riding
With the groundwork established, we move into riding by first using a lead line in a round pen. This phase focuses on feeling the horse's natural movement while riding bareback, developing balance, and deepening body awareness. The goal is to move in harmony with the horse, learning to trust both yourself and your equine partner.
Level Three: Rope Around the Neck & Seat Communication
As confidence grows, we introduce a simple rope around the horse's neck, allowing for subtle communication while continuing to refine balance and seat cues. This stage teaches how to align your thoughts with your movements, ensuring that the horse responds not to force but to intention and energy.
Level Four: Riding with Only a Neck Rope & Bareback Pad
At this level, the rider progresses to full independence, using only a neck rope for guidance while riding with a bareback pad. This phase strengthens the partnership between horse and human requiring trust, clarity, and refined energy awareness to maintain connection and direction
Level Five: Liberty Riding with Saddle & Bit
The final stage integrates all previous lessons into the freedom of liberty riding. While a saddle and bit are introduced to expand riding skills, the true focus remains on energetic connection rather than reliance on equipment. This level represents the balance between structure and freedom, where the rider can seamlessly shift between tack and liberty, fully embodying authentic communication with the horse.
Through each level, the goal is not just better horsemanship, but a deeper understanding of self. The horse is not merely a partner in this process but a guide, showing us the path to presence, trust, and authenticity.
I can host you at my facility, where you can work with your horse or one of mine, or I can travel to your facility to work with you and your horse in a familiar environment. My goal is a deeper connection with the horse but also a deeper understanding of yourself, creating a journey of growth, awareness, and authenticity - no matter the location.
Over six months, this transformative program guides participants through on a journey of self-discovery through deep connection with horses.
Beginning with groundwork, participants will learn to understand horse behavior, build trust, and develop clear, authentic communication. As the bond strengthens, exercises in liberty work and mindfulness will foster confidence and emotional awareness. Gradually, we transition to riding, focusing on balance, intuition, and mutual respect. By the final phase, participants will ride bareback and bridleless, experiencing the freedom and harmony that comes from true partnership.
This program isn't just about riding - it's about finding your most authentic self through the wisdom of the horse.
1/6
Imagine stepping into the quiet presence of a horse, you feel something different. For the next hour, it's an experience of connection. As you run a brush over their coat, you begin to notice more than just the rhythm of grooming-you start to feel their energy, their response to your presence. Horses don't judge; they don't have expectations; they simply reflect what's inside of you. As we talk about the horse - their nature, their instincts, and their ability to mirror human emotions - you may begin to recognize pieces of yourself in their responses. This hour is more than just time with a horse; it's the beginning of a journey. Through this experience, I'll introduce you to the deeper work we do in my six-month program-using the horse as a guide to uncovering self-awareness and creating meaningful change. Whether you're here as an individual, a parent, or with your partner, this is an opportunity to step into something real, something transformative. The horse will show you what's possible - are you ready to see?
Riding Lessons
In my six-month program, you will see true growth happen not just for the individual but for the entire family or partnership. When working with minors, I make it a priority to involve the parents, ideally both mother and father, in the process. As the student experiences personal transformation through their connection with the horse, it's essential that the parents also grow and adapt. Otherwise, the disconnect between the evolving child and a parent who remains unchanged can create unnecessary tension and misunderstanding.
This same principle applies to couples as well. When one partner embarks on a journey of self-discovery and change while the other remains stagnant, it can lead to emotional distance and misalignment in the relationship. Working with couples, a space is created where both individuals can deepen their understanding of themselves and each other. This process strengthens their connection.
The work I do with horses isn't something that needs a label. When we hear words like "therapy," we often feel something is wrong or in need of fixing- but that's not the approach here. This is simply about being present in the moment and understanding who you truly are.
